Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your core responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments to determine clients' mental health status and treatment needs through telehealth sessions.
• Developing comprehensive, individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based methodologies and therapeutic approaches.
• Holding regular sessions with clients to provide therapy, guidance, and coping strategies tailored to their unique challenges.
• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, ensuring a culturally responsive and inclusive approach for all clients.
• Referring clients to additional healthcare providers, such as psychiatrists, when medication or more specialized interventions are warranted.
• Maintaining detailed documentation of therapy sessions and patient interactions within the EHR system to ensure compliance and facilitate continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice serves a wide range of clients facing various mental health challenges, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and substance use issues. You will engage with diverse populations, ensuring culturally competent care tailored to each individual's background and experiences. Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess the following:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• A valid and current licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW within the state of New York.
• At least two years of related experience in mental health counseling, with a strong foundation in various treatment approaches.
• Exceptional understanding of mental health disorders, therapeutic methods, and ethical guidelines.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and the ability to manage client data responsibly.
• A commitment to maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality throughout client interactions.

Preferred Experience

While the qualifications above are essential, candidates with the following additional experience will be prioritized:

• Experience with crisis intervention and the ability to navigate high-stress situations while providing effective support.
• A demonstrated history of collaborating within multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
• Experience in delivering culturally responsive group therapy sessions and workshops.

Compensation and Benefits
