We're looking for a skilled CAD Technician who thrives in a collaborative environment and is excited to contribute to the design and construction of vital transportation projects: roads, highways, and bridges. You'll work alongside experienced engineers, using cutting-edge tools and software to turn concepts into reality.
What You'll DoKey Responsibilities:- Produce detailed CAD drawings, layouts, and graphics for a variety of transportation projects including roadway design, curb ramps, etc.
- Translate engineering markups into polished construction documents, maintaining precision and consistency.
- Use state-of-the-art software such as AutoCAD/Civil 3D, MicroStation, Open Roads Designer, and Bluebeam.
- Support design tasks under the direction of licensed engineers using industry standards.
- Maintain structured drawing files, adhere to company drafting standards, and support project-specific standards as needed.
- Collaborate through file-sharing systems like ProjectWise and participate in quality assurance reviews.
- Track quantities, update contract drawings, and contribute to project success within scope, budget, and schedule.
- Review all work for completeness and accuracy. Participate in company- and project-driven quality control and assurance processes.
- 0-3 years of drafting experience.
- Experience with MicroStation/OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
- Ability to collaborate across disciplines and identify, prioritize, and manage workloads to meet deadlines.
- Experience with transportation projects including the the Department of Transportation and/or other local agencies, including ODOT.
- Associate of Applied Science in Civil Drafting, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for precision.
