SSI shipbuilding technology is a market leader in North America, with a strong European and Oceania client base.

The SSI PLM Configuration Specialist plays a key role as a member of the Enterprise Solutions team with a strong emphasis on the development and custom configuration of a ShipbuildingPLM client-specific solution that is tailored to support the wider solution architecture, under the guidance of the team leads. The ability to also engage with clients to capture complex requirements and map end-to-end process definitions that can be translated into the development of a complete integrated SSI solution would be a distinct advantage, but not required.

We are proud to offer a fully inclusive culture and workplace welcoming all people with relevant skills and experience to our flat organizational structure, working with self-directed teams using Agile Principles as well as our own defined SSI Principles to guide us in our daily work.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and configure client-specific PLM solutions as part of an agile, cross-functional team, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and overall product architecture.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to plan, design, and develop new PLM features, customizations, and enhancements in response to customer and business requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to interpret requirements and translate them into scalable and maintainable software solutions within the PLM platform.
  • Support the Enterprise Solutions team in activities such as client solution deployment, troubleshooting issues, client configuration/customization demos, and providing technical guidance.
  • Participate in code reviews and quality assurance (QA) testing to ensure solutions meet performance and functional requirements, and to support the delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including development specifications, release notes, user guides, and test plans.

What We Look For:

  • Post-secondary education in software engineering, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with configuration/development of PLM/Engineering Change Processes required.
  • Proven experience with JavaScript and C# required.
  • Microsoft SQL Server experience required.
  • Exposure to CAD and Design Review applications is desired.
