About the Role

Join an industry-leading healthcare organization dedicated to operational excellence and high-quality provider support. As a Credentialing Specialist, you will serve as a critical bridge for clinicians navigating the onboarding process. You will take ownership of end-to-end file management, execute primary source verifications (PSV), and ensure strict adherence to NCQA standards and internal compliance metrics.

Key Responsibilities
  • End-to-End File Management: Process, track, and complete initial credentialing and re-credentialing files efficiently in alignment with NCQA policies and organizational deadlines.

  • Primary Source Verification (PSV): Conduct thorough verifications including state licensure, DEA certificates, malpractice coverage, background checks, and health screenings.

  • Committee Readiness: Assemble, audit, and organize fully verified clinician packages for presentation to the Credentialing Committee.

  • Database Administration: Maintain accurate provider profiles, run target queries, and generate compliance reports using systems such as MD-Staff.

  • Regulatory Compliance & Data Privacy: Safeguard Protected Health Information (PHI) while upholding internal policies, client contracts, URAC guidelines, and federal/state regulations.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Deliver prompt, professional administrative and email support to internal operational teams and external clinicians.

Qualifications & RequirementsRequired
  • Experience: 1–3+ years of dedicated hospital-based or medical staff credentialing experience.

    • Note: This role specifically requires medical staff credentialing experience and is not suited for candidates with purely payer enrollment, Medicare, or Medicaid provider enrollment backgrounds.

  • Verification Mastery: Hands-on experience completing Primary Source Verifications (PSV).

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Practical working knowledge of NCQA accreditation standards.

  • Technical Skills: Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Google Workspace (Gmail, Sheets, Docs).

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Remote Readiness: Proof of reliable home internet (speed test screenshot required upon offer) and passing a pre-employment drug screen.

Preferred
  • 2–5 years of credentialing experience within a hospital or health system environment.

  • Direct experience utilizing the MD-Staff credentialing database.

  • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or NAMSS certification (or willingness to obtain within 2 years).

Why Apply?
  • Stable Hours & Work-Life Balance: Set weekday schedule with no weekend or evening shifts.

  • Foot in the Door: Gain experience with a nationally recognized healthcare leader, with strong potential for contract extension or direct-hire conversion.

  • Work Flexibility: Fully remote for non-local candidates, with lightweight hybrid touchpoints for Dallas locals.
