Job description

Integrated Telehealth Therapist

Employment Type: Full-Time

Location Requirement: This position is 100% remote.  Employees are expected to maintain a professional home workspace that allows them to perform the essential functions of the role while complying with all APN policies regarding confidentiality, data security, and remote work expectations.

Licensure: Current unrestricted clinical licensure in at least one U.S. state, including: LMFT, LCSW, LPC, LMHC, PsyD, PhD, Other equivalent independent behavioral health license.  Ability to obtain and maintain licensure in states served by All Points North Telehealth. Colorado licensure required; must apply prior to start date.

About the Position

The Integrated Telehealth & Family Therapist is responsible for providing comprehensive behavioral health treatment services through All Points North's telehealth platform. This role delivers individual, family, couples, and group psychotherapy while serving as an integral member of the interdisciplinary treatment team.

The therapist manages outpatient and intensive outpatient caseloads, conducts comprehensive assessments, develops individualized treatment plans, facilitates evidence-based group programming, and provides family systems interventions that support long-term recovery and improved functioning. The role collaborates closely with psychiatry, case management, residential programs, referral partners, and families to ensure continuity of care across all levels of treatment.

This position reflects an integrated care model in which approximately half of clinical responsibilities focus on family systems work and half focus on individual and group treatment.

Qualifications

Education

This position requires an appropriate level of education; however, a combination of relevant education and work experience will be considered.

Master's or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Professional Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health discipline from an accredited institution.

Experience

Required:

  • Minimum three years of clinical experience providing behavioral health treatment.
  • Experience treating mental health and/or substance use disorders.
  • Experience providing telehealth services.

Preferred:

  • Intensive Outpatient or Outpatient treatment experience.
  • Family and couples therapy experience.
  • Trauma-informed treatment experience.
  • Co-occurring disorders experience.
  • Experience facilitating virtual groups.

Special Skills & Knowledge

Candidates should have the following skills and attributes: must be able to work and communicate well with people; be adaptable, and accept changes quickly and easily; be willing to address conflict appropriately. Basic computer skills are required with Microsoft Office Suite and web-based products knowledge a bonus.

Essential Responsibilities

Direct Clinical Care

·        Provide individual psychotherapy utilizing evidence-based interventions appropriate to each client's clinical presentation.

·        Provide family and couples therapy utilizing family systems approaches.

·        Facilitate psychoeducational, experiential, skills-based, and process groups.

·        Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and diagnostic evaluations.

·        Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans.

·        Complete treatment plan reviews and discharge summaries.

·        Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate safety planning.

·        Utilize measurement-based care to monitor clinical progress.

Family Systems & Care Coordination

·        Engage family members throughout treatment when clinically appropriate.

·        Provide psychoeducation and support to families regarding mental health, trauma, addiction, and recovery.

·        Evaluate family dynamics and identify opportunities to strengthen communication, boundaries, and healthy functioning.

·        Collaborate with residential, outpatient, medical, psychiatry, case management, and referral teams to coordinate care.

·        Support transitions between Residential, PHP, IOP, OP, and continuing care services.

·        Maintain regular communication with referral sources and authorized family members regarding treatment progress.

Group Programming

·        Facilitate engaging virtual clinical groups while maintaining therapeutic structure and participation.

·        Adapt interventions to meet the developmental and clinical needs of diverse patient populations.

·        Support a safe, inclusive, trauma-informed group environment.

·        Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate programming.

Documentation & Compliance

·        Complete clinical documentation accurately and within organizational timeframes.

·        Maintain timely progress notes, assessments, treatment plans, treatment plan reviews, and discharge documentation.

·        Ensure documentation meets payer, accreditation, regulatory, and organizational standards.

·        Maintain compliance with HIPAA, ethical standards, and organizational policies.

Collaboration & Professional Responsibilities

·        Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and case consultations.

·        Collaborate with psychiatry, nursing, case management, admissions, utilization review, and other clinical disciplines.

·        Participate in supervision, staff meetings, and required trainings.

·        Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and program development.

·        Maintain professional licensure and required continuing education.

·        Represent All Points North with professionalism and integrity.
