Remote Google Mapping Drivers are individuals contracted or employed to drive specific routes while operating vehicles equipped with specialized cameras and GPS equipment to collect imagery and mapping data for Google Maps. Their work helps update and expand the Street View feature, providing up-to-date visuals of roads, landmarks, and neighborhoods around the world. These drivers typically follow predetermined routes and adhere to strict safety and privacy protocols. The position often involves travel, attention to detail, and basic technical skills to manage the mapping equipment. Remote drivers may operate in various locations depending on project needs.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as a remote Google mapping driver?

To thrive as a Remote Google Mapping Driver, you generally need a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and basic technical proficiency with navigation and mobile mapping equipment. Familiarity with GPS devices, custom mapping software, and Google’s proprietary data collection tools is typically required. Attention to detail, reliability, and strong communication skills are crucial for accurately capturing data and reporting issues. These abilities ensure high-quality map data collection and efficient project completion while maintaining safety and compliance standards.

Community-Based Support Manager

Avant Supported Living LLC

Columbia, MO • Remote

Job description

The Mission

We are looking for a visionary leader to bridge the gap between service delivery and life-changing outcomes. As our Community-Based Support (CBS) Manager, you will oversee our team of Mentors and spearhead our Community and Employment initiatives. You won't just be managing schedules; you will be coaching a team to help our clients find belonging, purpose, and professional fulfillment.

The Three Pillars of Your Role

You will oversee a comprehensive suite of services designed to foster independence:

  • Respite & Mentorship: Overseeing in-home and community-based mentors to ensure high-quality care, safety, and meaningful engagement for families.
  • Community Networking: Guiding mentors to successfully integrate clients into local social circles, clubs, and civic life.
  • Supported Employment: Developing partnerships with local businesses, supervising job coaches, and ensuring clients find - and keep - meaningful competitive employment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Team Leadership & Mentorship

  • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of Community Support Mentors.
  • Conduct regular "shadow shifts" to provide real-time coaching and quality assurance.
  • Manage scheduling to ensure a perfect match between mentor personality and client needs.

2. Supported Employment Oversight

  • Job Development: Actively network with local employers to identify inclusive job opportunities.
  • Vocational Strategy: Work with clients to identify their strengths and career goals.
  • Retention Support: Oversee job coaching to ensure long-term success for both the employee and the employer.

3. Program Operations

  • Ensure all documentation meets regulatory standards and reflects client progress.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for families, providing updates and troubleshooting challenges.
  • Facilitate monthly team meetings to share best practices and "wins."

Administrative Note

  • Scope of Work: Perform other duties as assigned by Managers or Directors to support the evolving needs of the individuals and the agency.
  • Operational Flexibility: The expectation to work additional hours beyond your primary schedule, availability between 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, to meet the needs of our clients, address emergencies, or ensure operational excellence.

Who You Are

  • An Experienced Advocate: You have 3+ years of experience in disability services, social work, or vocational rehabilitation.
  • A Natural Leader: You know how to motivate a remote team and keep morale high.
  • A Relationship Builder: You're comfortable walking into a local business to pitch the benefits of inclusive hiring.
  • Organized & Strategic: You can balance the "big picture" of program growth with the fine details of daily scheduling and compliance.

The Essentials:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Business, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience with Supported Employment (SE) models and job coaching.
  • Valid Driver's License and a reliable vehicle.
  • Strong proficiency in digital tools (scheduling software, CRM, or case management systems).

Why Lead With Us?

  • Autonomy: We trust your expertise. You'll have the freedom to shape the program and the team.
  • Growth: As we expand our employment services, you will be at the forefront of that department's development.
  • Impact: You get to see the ripple effect of your work-from a mentor finding their stride to a client landing their first paycheck.

The Tech-Forward Edge

We don't just use technology; it is the backbone of how we create, collaborate, and communicate. As a highly technical organization, we operate at a fast pace where digital fluency isn't just a plus-it's a prerequisite. We expect every member of our team to be more than just "comfortable" with a computer; you should be a power user who thrives in a cloud-first environment.

What We're Looking For:

  • High Technical Aptitude: You possess a natural curiosity for software and a "figure-it-out" mentality when navigating new platforms.
  • Google Workspace Mastery: Preference is given to candidates who are experts in the Google Workspace ecosystem (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Admin). You should understand how to leverage these tools for maximum efficiency and real-time collaboration.
  • Digital Agility: Whether it's automating a workflow, managing complex file architectures, or troubleshooting your own stack, you stay ahead of the curve.

Why Join the Avant Team?

You won't just be "checking boxes." You will be the visionary who ensures our medical systems are as resilient as the people we support. You'll have the autonomy to build better protocols and the clinical heart to care for those who need it most.
