DevOps Cloud Engineer
The Opportunity:
Manages, administers, supports and enhances cloud environments, ensuring continuous improvement and rapid problem resolution. Applies leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts. Contributes to the development of new principles and concepts. Works on unusually complex problems and provides highly innovative solutions. Operates with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision. Mentors or supervises employees in both company and technical competencies.
You Have:
  • 5+ years of experience managing, enhancing, and administering cloud environments
  • Experience with enterprise Kubernetes deployment, cloud independent application management, and IaC, including Terraform
  • Experience with automated horizontal, vertical scaling optimization, and CI/CD DevSecOps with prod deployment automation
  • Experience with security hardening to meet environment STIGs for production deployment
  • Experience navigating IL5 production security constraints and DoW managed deployment processes
  • Experience with production sustainment monitoring and upkeep, including CVE hardening or rollbacks
  • Ability to perform configuration management for large-scale automated application rollouts
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Google Associate Cloud Engineer or Google Professional Cloud Architect Certification, and a DoD Cyber Baseline Certification

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with cloud architecture design to guide deployment planning
  • Experience tasking and guiding other developers through weekly tasking
  • Ability to manage independent client engagements to ensure project movement
  • Master's degree in an IT or Computer Science related field a plus

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $112,800.00 to $257,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
