About the role

Reporting to the Senior VP of Operations & Engineering, the Infrastructure Engineer & Program Management lead will play a key role in driving high-level program strategies, optimizing productivity, and ensuring successful project delivery - from inception through to completion.


You'll work closely with internal and external teams, manage key project milestones, and help scale and enhance our national data center infrastructure.

What You'll Own

  • Manage all project stakeholders and communications, ensuring expectations are aligned throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Define and track milestones with clear, structured reporting across all phases of your projects.
  • Partner with Data Center Managers across all regions to ensure consistent design and delivery practices.
  • Contribute to strategic decision-making around design and budgeting across new builds, expansions, retrofits, conversions, and M&E equipment selection.
  • Identify and address site-specific constraints, design limitations, and infrastructure routes in collaboration with local teams.
  • Monitor and escalate risks, failure points, and critical infrastructure issues.
  • Lead capacity management for our national data center fleet, alongside other key business KPIs.

What you bring

Experience

  • 7+ years in program or project management, ideally in a mission-critical infrastructure environment.
  • Experience with vendor management, capacity planning, and operational process design.
  • Proven track record delivering complex infrastructure projects in fast-paced settings.

Education/Certification/Designation

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a relevant field.
  • PMP certification (an asset).
  • Electrical certifications (an asset).

Skills

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate cross-functional teams.
  • Independent, proactive, and comfortable leading local initiatives.
  • Strategic thinker with practical execution skills.

Technical Knowledge

  • Familiarity with data center construction and infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of critical systems: UPS, generators, chillers, BMS, life safety systems.
  • Understanding of data center tiering (UTI) and thermal policies (ASHRAE TC9.9).
  • Advanced knowledge of building systems and industry standards.


Working Conditions

  • Hybrid work environment (office + remote).
  • Occasional travel (up to 25%) across Canada.
  • Regular business hours, Monday to Friday, with the ability to manage tight deadlines.
