The Role

The Role

The Senior Director- Strategic Ecosystem Alliances and Marketplaces leads Lumen's strategic business development across hyperscalers, technology partners, and digital marketplaces. This leader manages key partnerships and marketplace initiatives that drive pipeline, revenue, customer acquisition, and solution adoption, translating partner relationships into measurable business results.

The Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the team responsible for developing and executing strategic business plans with hyperscalers, technology partners, and ecosystem participants.
  • Own executive relationships with assigned strategic alliance partners.
  • Establish joint objectives, success metrics, governance structures, and executive engagement plans.
  • Identify opportunities to expand relationships through co-sell, joint solution development, and commercial programs.
  • Drive partner prioritization and investment recommendations aligned with corporate strategy.
  • Drive marketplace onboarding, solution listing, joint offer creation, private offers, and transactable motions.
  • Coordinate activities across Sales, Marketing, Product, Operations, Legal, Finance, and Partner organizations to simplify marketplace activation and customer purchasing experience
  • Develop scalable marketplace playbooks, operational processes, and performance reporting.
  • Establish marketplace revenue, pipeline, and adoption targets.
  • Generate new pipeline through ecosystem-led opportunities.
  • Support strategic customer engagements requiring executive partner alignment.
  • Track pipeline, bookings influence, marketplace performance, and partner engagement.
  • Assess investment decisions and resource allocation based on measurable outcomes.
  • Create executive reporting that demonstrates ecosystem impact on revenue growth and corporate priorities.
What We Look For in a Candidate
  • Ten Plus years' leadership experience in strategic alliances with Microsoft, AWS, Google Cloud, or other major cloud ecosystem programs for partnerships and business development.
  • Experience launching and scaling marketplace-based sales motions.
  • Telecommunications, cloud, AI, cybersecurity, or enterprise technology experience.
  • MBA or advanced business degree preferred or equivalent years of education and experience
  • Familiarity with co-sell programs, marketplace economics, partner incentives, and ecosystem business models.
  • Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives.
Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
