The Manager, Global Trade Investigations & Disclosures (I&D), will be responsible for managing the initial review and handling of compliance matters involving potential violations of Global Trade laws and policies. In this role, the Manager will be expected to conduct an initial investigation into each matter to determine whether a violation of Global Trade law or policy has occurred. The selected candidate will serve in Collins Aerospace's Central Global Trade I&D team within the Legal, Contracts, and Compliance function and will ultimately report to the Director of the I&D team.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Evaluating, via interviews and document review, allegations of potential violations of Global Trade compliance laws and policies.
  • Working collaboratively with members of the larger Global Trade organization to determine whether a violation of Global Trade law or policy has occurred.
  • Managing an active caseload in RTX's matter-management tool, GT360.
  • Briefing Collins Aerospace leadership on the status of ongoing Global Trade investigations.
  • Developing and documenting the completion of corrective actions to address policy violations.
  • Documenting the closure of matters that do not give rise to a reasonable suspicion of regulatory violation.
  • Monitoring and tracking the loss of company assets assigned to employees and determining whether a loss rises to a policy or regulatory violation.
  • Monitoring and tracking travel by Collins Aerospace employees and determining whether travel rises to a policy or regulatory violation.
  • Running reports from compliance and business systems, and assessing such reports for actionable trends.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
  • Strong experience in Excel

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of export control laws, including the Export Administration Regulations and International Traffic in Arms Regulations.
  • Prior experience conducting global trade investigations.
  • Experience in the aerospace or manufacturing industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, manage multiple deadlines simultaneously, and provide guidance and practical solutions to cross-functional projects effectively and on time.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, in a fast-paced environment of rapidly changing demands.
  • Ability to take initiative and proactively address compliance issues and complete deliverables with minimal oversight.
