Summary
The Geo-Spatial Analyst supports HII Mission Technologies by delivering precise, high quality geospatial products and analysis that enhance mission readiness and decision-making for defense, intelligence, and national security customers. This role develops and analyzes geo-spatial solutions using global imagery and vector data, advancing HII's commitment to providing trusted, data-driven capabilities for complex operational environments.
What You Will Do
  • Design, analyze, and develop geo spatial solutions and product specifications that support mission objectives across global operational domains.
  • Conduct GIS analyses on natural resources and geospatial datasets to inform planning, operations, and intelligence activities.
  • Plan, design, develop, document, and analyze spatial and relational databases supporting customer and mission requirements.
  • Apply GIS tools and analytical software to manage spatial and tabular datasets used by mission partners.
  • Build geospatial databases by capturing and digitizing map information to support intelligence and operational modeling.
  • Produce mission-ready map products and visualizations that clearly represent geospatial datasets and analytic findings.
  • Identify, locate, and evaluate geospatial data sources to ensure accuracy, reliability, and mission applicability.
  • Conduct quality control and assurance of geospatial datasets to maintain high analytic standards and data integrity.
  • Perform research and develop analytical reports that leverage geospatial information for mission planning and decision support.
  • Conduct peer reviews to maintain accuracy and consistency across geospatial analyses and deliverables.
  • Support data ingestion, quality control processes, issue resolution, and documentation to improve workflow efficiency.
  • Maintain and update process documentation, data standards, and report templates aligned with HII quality expectations.
  • Generate maps, geospatial visualizations, and supporting materials for briefings, presentations, and mission reports.

What We Are Looking For
  • 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
  • Experience using JIRA, Confluence, or comparable Agile workflow systems.
  • Understanding of automation processes and workflows for data ingestion and transformation.
  • Strong data analysis skills, including Excel functions such as PivotTables, formatting and standardization, and formula creation.
  • Ability to generate and review maps and geospatial materials for use in presentations and other visual products.
  • Experience with generation and review of analytical presentations and reports
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with ArcGIS Pro base functionality.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in an Agile environment.

Preferred: Bonus Points For...
  • Experience with ESRI tools and platforms.
  • Background in quality control processes, including schema compliance review and report quality oversight.
  • Familiarity with AWS data storage, processing, and retrieval workflows.
  • Knowledge of maritime data sets and related geospatial considerations.
  • Experience with ArcGIS Pro extensions.
  • Experience with Python / R / other data analysis tools.
