Position Overview

We are seeking a Security Sales Engineer to support enterprise sales efforts by serving as the technical expert throughout the sales cycle. This individual will work closely with Account Executives to uncover customer challenges, deliver presentations and demonstrations, lead Proofs of Concept, and help customers evaluate security and network visibility solutions.

Key Requirements

  • 7+ years of Pre-Sales Engineering or Technical Sales experience
  • 5+ years supporting or selling cybersecurity, NDR, DDoS, or network security solutions
  • Strong enterprise customer-facing experience
  • Experience delivering technical presentations, demonstrations, and Proofs of Concept
  • Solid understanding of:
    • Network Security (incident response, NDR, EDR, XDR, SOAR, Cyber Kill Chains)
    • Cisco Networking (switches, routers, gateways)
    • TCP/IP and Network Infrastructure (BGP, LAN, WAN, BGP FlowSpec, NetFlow)
    • Cloud Networking Technologies
    • Virtualization, Linux and/or Windows environments
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Able to travel up to 30%+ in the upper mid-west region, at times

Preferred (not required)

  • Cisco certification (CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE)
  • Experience with RFPs/RFIs
  • Formal sales or pre-sales methodology training
