Job description

Duration: 6 month contract with potential conversion to full time

Location: Fully Remote (8am-5pm PST)

Compensation: $55 - $58.62/hr

Description:

We are seeking a Quality & Risk Data Analyst who is comfortable working in a remote setting. This role serves as the primary analyst responsible for production‐level quality and risk data delivery. The analyst is expected to work independently, manage recurring deadlines, and ensure data accuracy across multiple systems. Typical job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Log into SQL environments to run, debug, optimize, and maintain complex queries that extract and transform healthcare data
  • Manage weekly and monthly production data loads, including Cozeva and related quality/risk file deliveries
  • Reconcile multiple incoming data feeds by performing row‐level and aggregate validation checks after scheduled loads
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data discrepancies by tracing issues across tables, schemas, and upstream ETL processes, coordinating with development teams as needed
  • Build and maintain reproducible SQL logic that implements business rules for HEDIS and claims‐based quality metrics
  • Produce, publish, and verify outbound reports and data files, including uploads to external vendor or portal systems, ensuring post‐delivery accuracy
  • Create and maintain clear technical documentation and self‐service runbooks for data processes, validation steps, and change control
  • Participate in peer reviews of SQL logic and version‐controlled changes
  • Partner with quality, risk, and business stakeholders to translate metric definitions into testable logic, scope ad‐hoc requests, and clearly communicate data findings
  • Perform ad‐hoc analyses to investigate trends, root causes, and metric variances, delivering concise, actionable insights to business audiences

Must‐Have Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a data analyst in a complex, data‐heavy environment
  • Advanced SQL skills, including writing, debugging, and optimizing complex queries across multiple tables and schemas
  • Proven experience owning recurring, production‐level data processes end‐to‐end with minimal supervision
  • Hands on experience working with multiple data streams simultaneously, including reconciling and validating data across systems
  • Strong understanding of data validation, QA, and data quality controls; actively questions results rather than trusting outputs blindly
  • Experience with healthcare quality measures (e.g., HEDIS, ) and/or claims and financial data
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot data issues by tracing problems to source tables, upstream feeds, or ETL logic
  • Comfortable operating in a dynamic environment without step‐by‐step runbooks; able to build and refine personal processes using technical specs and experience
  • Experience using source control/versioning and participating in peer reviews

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Healthcare experience preferred
  • Experience with SSRS or similar reporting tools and report delivery workflows
  • Familiarity with IBM AS/400 (iSeries) or systems interfacing with legacy claims platforms
  • Background supporting IPA/MSO medical management models
  • Experience automating or supporting analysis using Python, C#, or similar scripting languages
  • Prior experience delivering data to external vendors or portals (e.g., Cozeva or similar platforms)

$55.00/hr to $58.62/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
