Role: DBHDS - Data Analyst 4
Location: 1220 Bank Street Richmond Virginia - Remote
100% Remote role but must be able to pick up equipment IN PERSON if selected.

SHORT TERM EXPECTED
Pls note: This is a time sensitive role that has a tight timeline. They can choose to work full time (or part-time, 20 hrs/week) until the work is completed. If they work 40 hrs /week then the work could finish sooner and the engagement may end sooner. At this time it is slated to go to 6/30/26 (at the latest)
ABOUT THE ROLE
This engagement aims to transform a large Excel extract of potential duplicate patient encounters into a structured, interactive Power BI dashboard that supports data-quality improvement and operational cleanup. The consultant will work with HIM, data governance, and clinical operations teams to define the criteria and visualizations needed to surface duplicate patterns, encounter clusters, and high-risk records. The dashboard will help teams quickly identify duplicates, understand root causes, and prioritize remediation efforts. The resource may also be engaged in other Power BI work related to DBHDS as it arises if time in needed.
Key Tasks
โ€ข Conduct requirements sessions with HIM, data governance, and operations
โ€ข Analyze the structure and quality of the duplicate-encounter extract
โ€ข Build a Power BI data model capable of handling large datasets
โ€ข Develop visualizations for duplicate patterns, encounter groupings, frequency, and severity indicators
โ€ข Create filters for facility, date ranges, encounter type, and risk level
โ€ข Implement automated refresh and validation logic
โ€ข Iterate with stakeholders to refine insights and usability
