The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Services team: 

The AI Governance Analyst acts as a subject matter expert across AI governance, risk management, compliance monitoring and AI Incident response.  The role requires the ability to manage moderately sized processes and coach lower-level professionals and operate with minimal oversight. 

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical capabilities, cross-functional influence, and the ability to integrate regulatory, technical, operational, and risk elements in unified governance practices. 

What You Will Do: 

AI Governance & Compliance Execution 

  • Support execution and continuous improvement of the AI governance lifecycle, ensuring proper identification, assessment, approval, monitoring, and retirement of AI use cases. 

  • Monitor evolving global AI regulations, standards, and industry best practices, assess compliance impacts, and recommend process updates. 

  • Perform compliance monitoring and control testing for AI governance controls, evaluating design and operating effectiveness. 

  • Manage documentation requirements such as model cards, impact assessments, risk assessments, testing evidence, and approval records. 

  • Coordinate and perform third-party AI governance assessments related to service provider compliance and control adequacy. 

AI Incident Response & Operational Readiness 

  • Support the full AI Incident Response lifecycle across detection, triage, analysis, containment, mitigation, validation, closure and after-action review. 

  • Facilitate technical investigative activities including model behavior analysis, dataset lineage review, adversarial prompt investigation, and model drift analysis. 

  • Maintain and improve AI incident response playbooks, severity models, communication cadences, and escalation pathways. 

  • Partner with Cybersecurity, Legal, Privacy, Data Governance, Safety, and other enterprise incident response teams to ensure coordinated cross-policy handling and escalation. 

Reporting, Metrics & Cross Functional Influence 

  • Develop and report on KPIs across AI governance and incident response functions to leadership. 

  • Prepare executive-ready communications related to incident status, risks, findings, and recommended actions. 

  • Influence stakeholders across Legal, Compliance, Cybersecurity, Engineering and Business Units to ensure consistent interpretation and implementation of AI governance requirements. 

Program Development & Continuous Improvement 

  • Contribute to the enhancement of AI governance policies, standards, and operational processes 

  • Lead after-action reviews for lower-severity AI incidents and drive corrective actions to closure. 

  • Provide thought leadership by monitoring emerging AI risks, threats, and operational practices, proactively recommending program improvements.

Qualifications You Must Have: 

  • University degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Cybersecurity, or related STEM or technical field with 8+ years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 5+ years of experience. 

  • 3+ years experience in AI governance, AI/ML systems, incident response, risk management, compliance, digital governance, or cybersecurity. 

  • 3+ years experience and understanding of AI risks, AI control frameworks, governance processes, and regulatory expectations. 

  • 3 + years experience leading cross-functional technical investigations or governance processes with minimal oversight. 

Qualifications We Prefer: 

  • 3+ years in risk advisory, compliance, cybersecurity, governance, or audit roles. 

  • Experience in regulated industries such as Aerospace or Defense. 

  • Familiarity with AI Governance frameworks such as NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001, or similar. 

  • Experience with policy development, process design, and control testing. 

  • Professional certifications such as CISA, CRISC, CISSP, GCIH, CIPP, AIGP, or AI/ML engineering credentials. 

  • Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership. 

  • Strong analytical and investigative skills with the ability to manage complex, multi-variable issues at enterprise scale.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
