WEC Business Services LLC, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Artificial Intelligence (AI) Applications Analyst in our Milwaukee, Wisconsin location. This position currently offers flexibility for a hybrid work arrangement (remote/on-site) with time spent in the office.

This position is part of a job family (Associate IT Applications Analyst, IT Applications Analyst and Senior IT Applications Analyst) where experience will be the determining factor.

Job Summary

The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Analyst supports AI initiatives from both a build and on-going support perspective, as well as help shape and guide the corporate strategy for AI/Generative AI across WEC Energy Group. This role focuses on designing, modifying, developing, testing, implementing, maintaining and supporting AI agents and other AI solution offerings. In addition, this role creates and maintains standards, processes, training programs, and ensures AI alignment across the organization-all while upholding WEC's ethical standards.

Job Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement AI and generative AI applications, as well as go forward support.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve AI-related issues, ensuring the reliability and accuracy of AI-driven applications.
  • Monitor AI workloads with observability tools and AI Operations best practices.
  • Create and manage AI standards, procedures, and training.
  • Support company-wide alignment of AI efforts.
  • Review AI solution architecture.
  • Ensure AI solutions are secure and scalable within Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments.
  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies and capabilities.
  • Participate in corporate-level AI governance and strategy.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, MIS, Data Science, Information Science, Engineering. Other bachelor's degrees will be considered based on related IT experience. Successful completion of a certified Application Development Apprenticeship will also be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of professional experience in AI/ML development or enterprise AI implementation 
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and AWS 
  • Strong understanding of AI solution architecture and deployment 
  • Familiarity with data privacy, security, and ethical considerations in AI

End Date: 09/02/2026 

Pay Range Minimum:  $68,436.68 

Pay Range Maximum:  $135,761.08 

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs.  At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
