Overview

The Manager – Finance Business Partner, IT and Innovation is responsible for finance business partnering for the IT and Innovation function, with support for the IT Customer and Next Gen Value Streams. This role supports senior management planning and decision-making by providing consolidated financial forecasts, scenario projections, multi-year budgets, monthly forecasts, and budget variance reporting. The position also provides critical support for rate case activities across jurisdictions, partners with PPL Services on intercompany allocations, leads process improvements, and provides financial leadership and guidance to the team.


Responsibilities
  • Plan and manage consolidated capital and O&M multi-year budgets and monthly forecasts for the IT and Innovation function and by jurisdiction.
  • Partner with IT and Innovation senior leadership and management teams to coordinate departmental goals, objectives, operating budgets, and forecasts.
  • Compile, maintain, and analyze budgetary and financial data; coordinate budgetary and statistical analyses.
  • Provide rate case filing schedules and support for all jurisdictions, including support for data requests and testimony related to consolidated capital and O&M.
  • Perform system administration responsibilities for the Kentucky core budgeting platform, including updating monthly actuals.
  • Coordinate and prepare monthly performance reports, consolidated capital and O&M budget/forecast reports, and departmental TMO updates.
  • Coordinate and review documentation for capital and O&M RAC committees, ensuring projects align with PPL’s capital policy.
  • Align IT financial processes using lean budgeting principles as PPL’s integration of SAFe advances.
  • Coordinate and review IT and Innovation intercompany charges, including investigating charges and allocations.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for budgeting systems, including training junior employees, retrieving and displaying budget/forecast information, modifying standard reports, creating ad hoc reports, and leading system upgrades or testing as needed.
  • Lead special projects identified by management.
  • Maintain a thorough working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and provide FERC classification of accounts guidance.
  • Maintain strong interpersonal skills for ongoing interaction with and presentation to all levels of management and administrative staff.
  • Develop staff to maximize their potential within PPL.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
