Business Development Manager – Plastics/Injection Molding (Remote, Detroit Preferred)
Base: $120,000–$125,000 + $30–40K Commission | OTE $150K–$160K+ | Full Benefits

About the Role:
My client is a major plastics injection molding business, recognized for their flexibility, technical breadth (thermoplastic, thermoset, two-shot, overmolding, and secondary operations), and direct connections to senior leadership. With a motivated and supportive team, my client offers both the agility of a smaller organization and the impact of a market leader.

What You'll Do:

  • Take ownership of and grow an existing customer portfolio, primarily located in Detroit and Chicago
  • Drive new business, focusing on key sectors: automotive (70%), lawn/garden, industrial, medical, renewable energy, data centers, and drone manufacturing
  • Build relationships with Tier 1 customers and engage directly with engineers on technical requirements and value solutions
  • Enjoy a strong support system
  • Work independently and remotely, with periodic, fully expensed travel to clients and manufacturing facilities

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base salary range: $120,000–$125,000 (DOE), plus realistic $30,000–$40,000 annual commission (total earnings: $150,000–$160,000+)
  • Commission structure: 25%

What You'll Bring:
