Job Summary

Applies knowledge of demand forecasting, supply planning, and data analytics to balance customer requirements with production/Supply capabilities. Builds knowledge of organizational systems, product lines, and customer trends to create accurate demand plans that optimize inventory and service levels. Analyzes forecasts, sales patterns, and market data using standard procedures to identify risks and opportunities. Collaborates with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Sales, Operations, and Procurement to support integrated business planning and continuous improvement. Receives moderate guidance in complex planning scenarios but operates independently in routine forecasting and analysis activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administers demand planning processes by collecting and analyzing data from sales, marketing, and historical trends to develop accurate demand forecasts.
  • Analyzes somewhat complex sales and inventory data, identifying patterns and trends to inform demand planning decisions.
  • Applies knowledge of market dynamics to adjust forecasts, considering factors such as promotions, seasonality, and economic conditions.
  • Communicates effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and supply chain, to ensure alignment on demand forecasts and inventory levels.
  • Completes regular reports and presentations on demand planning metrics, providing insights and recommendations to management.
  • Conducts routine meetings with stakeholders to review demand forecasts, address discrepancies, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Configures and maintains demand planning software systems, ensuring data accuracy and system integrity.
  • Controls data integrity by regularly auditing demand planning inputs and outputs to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Coordinates somewhat complex demand planning activities, balancing the needs of various departments and stakeholders to optimize inventory levels.
