About The Role
The Director of Global Planning is responsible for leading activities related to demand planning, production planning, inventory control, and material planning within Spellman High Voltage Electronics. You will have significant authority in Strategic Planning, work cross-functionally to achieve organizational objectives and drive functional excellence and continuous improvement. You are a proven leader of senior leaders, inspiring teams to deliver best in class results. You are accountable for and lead multiple, highly complex projects. You will lead Planning strategy & vision and drive execution to enable business value and productivity. Continuously improving planning processes to drive better business results. What You Will Do
  • Develop and lead a Global SIOP and Operations strategy and execution professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Develop and optimize planning processes: Raw materials, finished goods, subassembly stocking strategies, site-level production plans. All based on historical usage combined with forecast and firm demand, utilizing LEAN methodologies to improve productivity
  • Collaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure that inventory, planning, and allocation processes are integrated and aligned with business goals
  • Analyze historical data, trends, and future demands to forecast resource needs and potential scheduling challenges.
  • Develop metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure scheduling efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Improve Spellman ERP System Planning Operational maturity
  • Guide and drive the development of roadmap, solutions and resources necessary to deliver on our customer commitments
  • Hire, train, develop and appraise staff effectively; take an active role in leading, mentoring and developing staff in accordance with business and cultural objectives
  • Implement and maintain operational processes and procedures; work with the planning and analytics team to ensure implementation of tools, applications and processes are met

What You Need
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Engineering, or related quantitative discipline
  • Extensive experience working in LEAN manufacturing environment, with the ability to model demand based on pull versus push systems
  • At least 10 years of work experience in the Supply Chain industry
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience leading ERP planning teams in a mulit-site environment, including forecast modeling, inventory modeling, orders, and supply management.
  • Ability to identify opportunities to increase accuracy, optimize resources, and develop, recommend and implement solutions
  • Proven leadership and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively mentor, coach and lead a creative and diverse group of professionals
  • Proficient in working cross functionally with teams from other disciplines, especially Operations and Information Technology
  • Experience modeling complex workflows and establishing well defined processes to support efficient order flow
  • Ability to create and manage documentation of planning processes to drive consistency across multiple shifts and work centers
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • End to end planning experience for Supply, Demand, Production
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills
  • Expertise on leading / driving change, and mentoring teams & peers
  • Extensive experience in S&OP, Demand Planning, Supply Planning and Inventory Management and Materials Management
  • Passion for driving continuous improvement. Passion for developing and coaching teams
  • Expert knowledge and deployment of ERP planning tools

Preferred Characteristics
  • Advanced degree in Supply Chain, MBA, or related field preferred
  • Experience in using Glovia and PowerBI and other reporting software
  • APICS Certified or equivalent certification

This position is remote. Our good faith estimate of the salary range for this role is $161,000 to $226,000. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and other factors. In addition to base pay, we offer a highly competitive benefits package.
