About the role

Weโ€™re looking for strong Intermediate Software Developers to help us build A.I. products and services.ย  While no experience with A.I. technology is required for this role, experience is a plus, and a candidate should be eager and willing to experiment with and learn new technologies.

Our stack is mostly built with Ruby on Rails, MySQL, JS, and Azure/OpenAI services, but weโ€™ll be using Python more and more as we build out our future A.I. architecture. As such, candidate for this role should have either an advanced level web development experience, preferably with an MVC framework, or advanced level experience with Python, or both.

Your responsibilities as an Intermediate Software Developer:

  • Build, test, and support the development of web software applicationsย and internal tools
  • Analyze requirements and decide the best ways to meet or even rework them; unique and innovative ideas are welcome
  • Be proactive by finding and addressing areas of technical concern
  • Mentor your peers and contribute to code reviews, and be mentored if something is new to you
  • Collaborate across teams to continually improve our processes
  • Promote the use of design patterns and best practicesย 
  • Contribute to Agile ceremonies for prioritizing, understanding, and estimating
  • Support the growth of our Agile practicesย through Retrospectives

  • Experience developing relational database solutions
  • SQL authoring and optimization
  • Experience with HTML 5, CSS3, JavaScript

  • Ability to maintain focus on priority, and deliver solutions appropriate to requirements
  • Experience writing for and improving existing code efficiencies for large data and high volumes

Nice to Have:ย 

  • Experience with Ruby & Ruby on Rails (highly desired)
