The Territory Sales Manager - Mixing Solutions is responsible for driving sales growth, market penetration, and customer engagement for the company's mixer portfolio within an assigned geographic territory. This role blends technical understanding with strong commercial acumen to support customers, channel partners, and internal teams. The ideal candidate combines application knowledge, proactive sales strategy, and customerfocused problem solving to deliver sustained revenue growth.

We're Hiring a Territory Sales Manager - Flygt Mixing Solutions!

Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development
  • Develop and execute territory-level sales strategies for mixers and related solutions.
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across municipal and industrial markets.
  • Grow and support channel partners, including representatives, distributors, and integrators.
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and CRM management.
Customer Engagement & Support
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with engineering firms, municipalities, industrial clients, and contractors.
  • Conduct customer visits, site assessments, and technical presentations.
  • Provide application guidance and collaborate with the Mixing Solutions team for complex selections.
  • Support the full sales cycle from influence to close, including spec development and value selling.
Technical Application & Product Knowledge
  • Understand mixing principles, equipment selection, and system limitations.
  • Collaborate closely with the Flygt Mixer team team to provide advanced application support when needed.
  • Assist with troubleshooting, commissioning coordination, and postinstallation follow-up.
  • Communicate customer feedback to product management and engineering.
Market Intelligence & Strategy
  • Monitor competitor activity, pricing trends, and market changes within the territory.
  • Identify strategic opportunities for growth and report insights to leadership.
  • Support marketing initiatives, tradeshows, lunchandlearns, and training events.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline; or equivalent technical sales experience.
  • 3-5+ years of sales experience in industrial, municipal, or process equipment markets.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents, drawings, and specifications.
  • Selfmotivated with strong timemanagement and territoryplanning skills.
  • Travel Requirements
  • Up to 75% travel within the assigned territory, including customer visits, site support, rep trainings, industry events, and tradeshows.
  • Frequent overnight travel is required due to territory size and customer demands.
  • The role includes flexibility for remote work when not traveling, allowing the Territory Sales Manager to manage administrative tasks, virtual meetings, and planning from a home-based location.
Preferred
  • Experience with mixers, rotating equipment, or fluid/process systems.
  • Familiarity with water/wastewater treatment applications.
  • Experience working with engineering consultants, municipalities, and industrial end users.
