Location: Remote to Halifax with up to 50% travel. Candidates must reside within driving distance of Halifax and be able to regularly engage with customers throughout Atlantic Canada. This role requires significant customer-facing activity and travel within the territory.

Overview: DXC Technology is seeking a Business Developer to drive growth across Atlantic Canada by building relationships, identifying opportunities, and expanding DXC's market presence. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to prospective clients, developing executive-level relationships, uncovering business challenges, and connecting customers with DXC solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes.

The ideal candidate is a proactive relationship builder who enjoys creating opportunities, opening doors, and developing business from the ground up. This role is focused on generating new opportunities, building strategic relationships, and collaborating with DXC sales, technical, and delivery teams to develop winning solutions for customers.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Market Expansion

  • Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities across Atlantic Canada.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities.
  • Develop and execute territory growth strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Create opportunities through networking, referrals, industry events, community engagement, and direct outreach.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with senior business leaders, executives, and key decision-makers.
  • Research market trends, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities within the region.

Client Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Serve as DXC's local market presence, building credibility and trusted relationships within the business community.
  • Conduct discovery meetings to understand client priorities, challenges, and strategic objectives.
  • Identify business problems and connect clients with appropriate DXC capabilities and solutions.
  • Develop long-term relationships that create sustainable growth opportunities.
  • Maintain regular customer engagement throughout the opportunity lifecycle.

Opportunity Development

  • Qualify and advance opportunities from initial engagement through proposal and contract stages.
  • Participate in developing customer presentations, business cases, and proposals.
  • Partner with technical and solution teams to develop client-specific solutions.
  • Support opportunity strategy, pursuit planning, and customer engagement activities.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and opportunity tracking.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with sales, delivery, consulting, and technical teams to develop winning customer solutions.
  • Coordinate resources necessary to support pursuits and proposal development.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7+ years of business development, sales, account management, consulting, client partner, or related experience.
  • Demonstrated success in identifying and developing new business opportunities.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to engage senior business leaders.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and establish credibility with customers.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
