Job description

Job Title: Full-Stack .NET Application Engineer Location: Schaumburg, Illinois Type: Contract To Hire Compensation: $105,000 annual Work Model: Hybrid – onsite and remote Hours: 40.0:

Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using .NET / .NET Core, C#, RESTful APIs, and modern UI frameworks, primary focus on backend development (~60%) and significant frontend responsibilities (~40%) • Maintain and enhance existing ELD(Executive Liability Division) applications, frameworks, and shared libraries • Design and implement new features aligned with ELD(Executive Liability Division) business processes and workflows • Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing application support • Ensure compliance with security, performance, and architectural standards • Contribute to modernization initiatives, including framework evolution and technical debt reduction • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver high-quality solutions • Participate in code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and deployment processes

Requirements • Strong experience with .NET / .NET Core and C# • Hands-on experience with Entity Framework Core (EF Core) and ORM best practices • Proven experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), design patterns, and clean architecture principles • Experience with SQL Server or other relational databases, including query optimization, indexing, and stored procedures • Familiarity with authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth, JWT, identity frameworks) • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React, Vue, etc.) • Angular strongly preferred; candidates without Angular experience must demonstrate ability to ramp quickly • Strong proficiency in: TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, responsive design principles, component-based UI architectures, familiarity with UI libraries like Angular Material or Bootstrap • Modern engineering practices including using Git, CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and cloud platforms (Azure preferred) • Exposure to or experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot is a plus • Ability to work independently and within a team, with strong communication skills • Knowledge of microservices, distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and API gateways is a plus • Prior experience in insurance or underwriting systems and legacy system modernization initiatives is desirable
