Back-Office Operations Manager

About the Job. We are seeking an experienced operations professional to oversee the firm’s daily back-office functions including new accounts, customer due diligence, AML, licensing and registration, securities transfers, wires, DWAC, ACATS and all other back-office aspects.

•          5-10 years of relevant broker dealer back-office operations experience

•          Active FINRA registration (Series 24)

•          Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field

•          Working knowledge of U.S. broker-dealer rules and regulations

•          Oversee Back-Office Operations and new accounts.

•          Knowledge of fixed income, equities, options and Rule 144 sales.

•          Able to perform tasks with minimal supervision

•          Ability to work independently and as part of a team

•          Familiarity with WebCRD

•          Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail

•          Strong communication and interpersonal skills

•          Prior experience with or at a clearing firm is a plus.

•          Service customers’ accounts.

•          Administer access to firm’s clearing platforms

•          Assist with compliance reviews

•          Assist with the coordination of external audits and examinations

•          Work collaboratively with other departments (e.g., Legal, Compliance, Middle Office, Trading and

Finance)

•          Municipal Underwriting. Celadon is a member of the municipal underwriting syndicate managed by Robert W. Baird & Co., one of the largest municipal underwriters in the U.S. As a co-underwriter, Celadon has full participation rights to a highly sought-after inventory of new municipal issues.

•          Capital Markets. Celadon has developed a negotiated project finance placement business that sources, structures, originates and places Bond Anticipation Notes in the infrastructure sector such as solid waste, energy, dock and wharf, and other project finance transactions that ultimately are refinanced as tax-free municipal securities. Our institutional underwriting and sales team works with institutional clients including insurance companies, mutual funds, investment advisors, banks, and trust companies.

•          Private Securities Transactions. Celadon specializes in matching buyers and sellers of non-exchange traded products, usually warrants but can include restricted shares, contingent value rights, convertibles, and shares in private (pre-IPO) companies.

•          Futures Trading. Celadon offers futures trading utilizing a variety of EMS platforms.
