While this position is primarily remote, you will have the opportunity to engage in in-home therapy sessions and collaborate with families and caregivers in their own environments. Our community health clinic serves as a hub for group therapy sessions and team meetings, ensuring that therapists have access to the resources and support they need to succeed. We promote an inclusive culture that values the contributions of each team member, offering a dynamic atmosphere that focuses on professional growth and collaboration among staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, both in-home and at our outpatient center, tailored to the specific needs of children with developmental disabilities and their families.
  • Implement targeted interventions to address behavioral challenges, including anger management, coping strategies, and social skill development.
  • Develop and enhance decision-making skills for youth and caregivers, enabling them to manage in-home behavioral challenges more effectively.
  • Collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team, integrating strategies from other professionals to support comprehensive family care.
  • Ensure timely documentation and submission of treatment plans, intake assessments, and progress notes using our electronic health record system.
  • Participate in monthly team meetings to review cases, share insights, and provide recommendations for improved care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist will involve assisting children and adolescents aged 3-20 who are experiencing developmental and intellectual disabilities. You will engage with a diverse range of families, fostering an understanding and supportive environment that empowers parents and caregivers. Your contributions will directly impact the lives of clients facing behavioral challenges, emotional difficulties, and social skill deficits.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field is required.
  • Possession of an active and unrestricted LMFT license is mandatory.
  • A minimum availability of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 pm) is essential, with flexibility for weekend hours being highly desirable.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle are required for travel to clients' homes.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check inclusive of fingerprinting is a must.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in delivering positive behavior support and behavioral analysis is beneficial.
  • Prior work with children and adolescents with intellectual/developmental disabilities is preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is highly desirable, as bilingual therapists are particularly needed to serve our diverse clientele.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 60,000 to 80,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:

  • Dynamic and supportive work environment.
  • Health insurance coverage, including group health plans.
