About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Developer to join our dynamic e-commerce team and contribute to the growth of our digital platforms, including rona.ca.

Reporting to the IT Manager, you will work within an Agile Scrum team to design, develop, deploy, and support scalable, high-quality e-commerce solutions.

This role requires strong expertise in modern full-stack technologies, including React, Node.js, and Next.js, combined with the ability and motivation to learn and master the KIBO platform, which will power our e-commerce ecosystem.

Previous experience with KIBOis not required. We will support your onboarding and training.

Your Responsibilities
  • Design and implement technical solutions that meet evolving business needs using ReactJS, Node.js, and Next.js.

  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, coding, testing, deployment, and production support.

  • Design, build, and integrate scalable RESTful APIs and backend services.

  • Collaborate with UX, Product, QA, and other technology teams to deliver seamless user experiences and robust solutions.

  • Maintain high standards of code quality, scalability, security, performance, and reliability.

  • Troubleshoot, debug, and document issues across production and non-production environments.

  • Contribute to system testing, deployment planning, technical documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and technical design discussions.

What We’re Looking For
  • 6+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on ReactJS, Node.js, and Next.js (v14+).

  • Solid understanding of micro-frontend architectures and the development of scalable web applications.

  • Proven experience designing, building, and integrating RESTful APIs. Experience with GraphQL is an asset.

  • Strong proficiency in modern JavaScript, including ES6+ features and asynchronous programming.

  • Experience with state-management libraries such as Redux and Immutable.js.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, build tools, linters, bundlers, and automated deployment practices.

  • Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and CSS preprocessors such as SASS or LESS.

  • Experience with responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and web performance optimization.

  • Awareness of SEO best practices within an e-commerce environment.

  • Experience working in Agile Scrum environments using tools such as Git, GitLab, Jenkins, Jira, VS Code, and SonarQube.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, combined with problem-solving abilities and an ownership mindset.
