This position is designed to be fully remote, allowing you the flexibility to conduct therapy sessions from the comfort of your home while maintaining a strong connection with our team and clients. • Collaborate closely with the Medical Director and/or Medical Team Administrator to synchronize mental health treatments quickly and efficiently.
• Provide in-service training on mental health topics to the medical, psychiatric, and security staffs to enhance collective understanding and crisis intervention.
• Intervene in and de-escalate mental health emergencies, ensuring safety and support for patients and staff alike.
• Attend commitment hearings to advocate for patients when necessary, ensuring they receive the treatment they need.
• Create and implement individualized treatment plans and therapeutic goals tailored to each client’s needs.
• Thoroughly document all patient interactions while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality for sensitive information.
• Verify patients’ mental health histories, including tracking any past psychotropic medications, to inform ongoing treatment.
• Compile regular reports detailing clinical outcomes and additional data required by management.
• Coordinate discharge planning and post-release referral processes in collaboration with nursing and mental health staff.

Your role will involve working with a varied patient population, including individuals facing challenges related to trauma, addiction, chronic mental illness, and adjustments to life changes. This diverse clientele demands a counselor with sensitivity, adaptability, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive environment. By developing trust and rapport, you will facilitate healing and resilience in each client, helping them navigate their unique circumstances.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Illinois.
• A minimum of two years of counseling experience, ideally within a clinical context, is essential.

• Experience or specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, substance misuse treatment, or trauma-informed care is highly desirable.

Urban Arc Psychiatry Clinic offers a competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $100,000 annually, along with performance-based bonuses.
