This role focuses on providing tailored nutrition therapy and lifestyle counseling primarily for patients managing diabetes and related health conditions. As part of our outpatient clinic, you will operate in a supportive and collaborative remote setting. Although remote, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes endocrinologists, certified diabetes educators, and other healthcare specialists, ensuring coordinated care for our patient population. This role encompasses a regular work schedule of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening or weekend shifts based on patient demand and special events.

• Conduct thorough nutrition assessments to evaluate patients' dietary habits and medical history, utilizing tools such as dietary recalls and biochemical data reviews.
• Develop personalized, evidence-based nutrition care plans that align with each patient's unique medical conditions, dietary preferences, and health goals.
• Provide in-depth nutrition counseling for patients and their families focusing on healthy eating patterns, effective diabetes management, and lifestyle modifications.
• Monitor and assess patients’ progress through follow-up consultations, adjusting care plans as needed to address any emerging concerns or challenges.
• Participate in regular team meetings to collaborate effectively on patient care strategies with fellow healthcare providers.
• Document all patient interactions comprehensively, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations while maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Stay updated with current research in nutrition science, clinical guidelines, and best practices, utilizing this knowledge in patient care.

Your primary focus will be on individuals diagnosed with diabetes and associated conditions. This population may include both adults and adolescents managing type 1 and type 2 diabetes, as well as patients dealing with obesity, cardiovascular diseases, and gastrointestinal disorders. As a Registered Dietitian, your expertise will play a crucial role in their treatment and health management, empowering them to improve not only their clinical outcomes but also their overall quality of life.

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Active Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Current licensure or eligibility to practice as a Dietitian/Nutritionist in Massachusetts.
• Strong foundational knowledge of nutrition science, dietary guidelines, and evidence-based medical nutrition therapy.

• Previous experience in a clinical or outpatient nutrition setting, particularly focusing on diabetes management.
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for patient documentation and care management.
• Experience working within a multidisciplinary healthcare team and contributing to integrated care practices.
