Job description

Full-time, 40 Hours/week
Monday - Friday, 8AM - 4:30PM
Must reside in Ohio at the time of hire. This is a remote position; however, occasional onsite presence may be required based on business needs.
On-Call Rotation

Summary:
The Application Solutions Analyst develops, implements, and supports clinical enterprise applications and/or departmental applications.
Responsibilities:
  1. Interacts directly with management and users to analyze and specify clinical application requirements and workflows and to make system recommendations.
  2. Assists with problem solving, testing and documentation of clinical systems.
  3. Serves as a bridge between I.T. and Akron Children's Hospital Operations.
  4. Develops and maintains configuration decision and workflow documents.
  5. Assists with analysis of data [conversion, analytics, quality, root cause].
  6. Attends meetings and is accountable for action items assigned to them or their team
  7. Participates in the evaluation of other project team members & students as needed
  8. Other duties as required.

Other information:
Technical Expertise
  1. Experience in system configuration and clinical/business systems analysis and design is preferred.
  2. Experience in electronic medical records, clinical systems, database administration/design, business applications, project management, or IT is preferred.
  3. Strong organizational, analysis, and problem-solving skills required with an emphasis on attention to detail and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  4. Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
  5. Able to work independently as well as part of an interdisciplinary team
  6. Experience in healthcare is preferred.
  7. Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required.

Education and Experience
  1. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor's degree in related field is preferred.
  2. Certification: None.
  3. Years of relevant experience: 6 years of relevant experience is required for High School or equivalent. If Associates 4 years is required and 2 years if Bachelor's degree.
  4. Years of experience supervising: None.
