Job description

Summary
The Field Service Technician services Ranpak equipment, including preventative maintenance, installation, troubleshooting issues, and responding to customer/distributor complaints and requests.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Troubleshoots customer machine problems in person or over the phone to successful resolution
• Generates orders for required parts needed
• Travels as required to end users to perform service
• Handles and processes returned service parts
• Performs preventative maintenance on machines as time allows
• Assists distributors in installing new machines and machine upgrades
• Submits activity reports and other required documentation
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• One year certificate from college or technical school; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Electronics knowledge
• Ability to read blueprints & schematics
• Ability to use computer applications (e.g. Word, Excel)
• Even temperament with customers and coworkers
• Good verbal & written communication skills
• Logical thinking
• Strong mechanical aptitude
Supervisory Responsibilities: No
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
25% Travel
Ability to life 50-80 pounds
Home Office Setting
• Choice of sitting or standing or alternating between them (stand-up desk optional)
