Job description

Title: Okta Engineer Duration: 12 months Location: Remote (No West Coast candidates) For this role, we are placing particular emphasis on candidates with strong Okta Identity Governance (OIG) experience, in addition to the requirements below. The ideal candidates will demonstrate experience in several of the following areas:
  • Okta (with a strong focus on Identity Governance)
  • Networking
  • Scripting
  • Cybersecurity principles and practices
  • Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
  • Cisco technologies
  • Microsoft ecosystem, including Active Directory infrastructure integration
  • Experience identifying critical systems and implementing least-privilege access controls
  • Integration with enterprise systems, particularly via APIs
  • Workflow and attestation development
Additionally, candidates should bring:
  • Solid understanding of network and security architecture, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint security solutions
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity operations, including monitoring, SIEM technologies, risk and vulnerability management, and access control/authentication frameworks
  • Ability to translate threat analysis into risk-based decision-making and business-aligned security priorities
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret business needs and develop practical, value-driven security solutions
  • Experience engaging with stakeholders to address information security needs and communicate security program value and roadmap
  • Proven ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to quickly learn complex environments and work independently toward goals
