The Opportunity with McKinstry

We are adding a Fire Protection Designer II to our growing Fire Protection division in Spokane, WA. In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Attending BIM coordination meetings.

  • Making necessary changes and provide detailed feedback to Senior designer.

  • Modifying generic layout to meet code and project spec's provided at Sales handoff.

  • Assisting in submittal package including hydraulic calculations.

  • Performing other duties as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills required.

  • Proficient in AutoCAD & Revit required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and cloud-based software systems required. Ability to prioritize tasks required.

  • Ability to deal with conflict and build positive team relationships required.

  • Has or can obtain Nicet Level II in water-based layout within 6 months of hire required.

The pay range for this position is $32.84 - $49.54 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This is a non-exempt role and will be paid on an hourly basis. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
