Job description

Senior AI Automation Engineer - REMOTE

Job title: Senior AI Automation Engineer
Location: REMOTE or hybrid options in NYC, Fairfield (NJ), or Los Angeles
Salary: $150K - $185K base + benefits
Requirements: Senior-level software fundamentals, Python or TypeScript/Node, AWS, LLM/AI, API integration, SQL, debugging, stakeholder leadership

We are looking for a Senior AI Automation Engineer to help transform how a major national organization operates. You will embed with teams across Finance, Real Estate, HR, Sales Ops, Legal, and Marketing, find the workflows that are slow or broken, and ship the automations and AI agents that fix them. You will move fast, ship in weeks, and own what you build.

You will partner closely with business stakeholders, evaluate the right tool for each problem, and design solutions that balance speed, reliability, and long-term maintainability. This role is for someone who thrives in ambiguity, makes strong technical calls, and consistently delivers end-to-end systems that real users depend on.

This is engineering-first. If you write clean code, design thoughtful APIs, and can debug complex production issues, you will excel here. You will work across both Microsoft Power Platform and AWS AI services, choosing the right surface for each workflow. You will also contribute to our internal AI platform as your work demands.

What You Will Do

  • Embed with business teams, identify high-impact manual processes, and design and ship automations that run in production.
  • Build AI agents and workflows using modern LLM frameworks across both Microsoft Power Platform and AWS for autonomous, system-level use cases.
  • Contribute to our internal AI platform by building agents, integrations, and capabilities that support the business teams you serve.
  • Stand up integrations across REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth flows, SQL, Snowflake, Salesforce, and Power Platform connectors. Build connectors when they do not exist.
  • Evaluate and document the right tool for each problem. Know when not building is the correct call.
  • Mentor junior engineers and interns, raising their technical ceiling and delivery confidence.

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of production software experience with a track record of delivering end-to-end systems used by real customers.
  • Experience shipping multiple LLM-backed systems to production and understanding their failure modes.
  • Practical AWS experience, especially serverless and AI services (Lambda, Step Functions, Bedrock), plus comfort with IAM and RDS.
  • Strong API integration skills across REST, webhooks, OAuth, and JSON.
  • Proficiency in Python or TypeScript/Node, plus comfort with SQL.
  • Ability to sit with non-technical stakeholders, clarify fuzzy problems, and turn them into concrete plans you can ship in two weeks.
  • BONUS: Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Copilot Studio, Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse) or strong M365 development experience.
  • A technical degree or a portfolio of delivered solutions that speaks for itself.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in advertising technology, particularly OOH or DOOH.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake, Sigma, or modern analytics stacks.
  • Experience with the Vercel AI SDK or Next.js.
  • Exposure to MCP, A2A, or other agent frameworks.
  • Experience with Salesforce development or integration.
