Job description

Reporting to the Senior Director Engineeringyou will lead technical solutions across the Engineering organization while providing strategic and people leadership to project management and engineering teams responsible for the development and execution of multidiscipline capital programs from concept through initial production. You will ensure alignment to business platform strategies while driving safety, cost, schedule, and performance excellence across the portfolio.

A Taste of Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical solutions within the Engineering organization and provide leadership to project management teams responsible for project safety, scope, cost, spending forecast, and schedule across multidiscipline capital programs.

  • Provide direct leadership to Project Leaders, Engineering Project Managers, and Engineers, with dual or dottedline leadership of Plant Engineering Managers and contract resources.

  • Foster an inclusive environment that attracts, develops, and retains top engineering and project management talent.

  • Direct project management, engineering, construction management, and cost control resources to support business platform strategies and annual capital investments.

  • Deploy managerial and technical leadership to maximize project management effectiveness and deliver strong business value.

  • Lead innovation, capital programs, and projects to improve safety, reliability, product quality, productivity, and capacity across manufacturing and comanufacturing networks.

  • Partner with Plant Managers and Operations leaders to establish strategic direction, priorities, and execution alignment.

  • Collaborate with equipment and material suppliers, engineering consultants, and installation contractors to deliver successful project outcomes.

  • Support enterprisewide coordination across business platforms through effective communication and governance.

Ingredients Required for Your Success:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required with a discipline in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering preferred.

  • Minimum of ten years of practical experience in food manufacturing, packaging technologies, and project management.

  • Engineering leadership experience within Food and Beverage, Consumer Packaged Goods, or regulated manufacturing environments governed by the Food and Drug Administration or United States Department of Agriculture.

  • Experience communicating technical requirements to nontechnical audiences.

  • Experience leading technical teams and managing capital programs in a multisite manufacturing organization.

  • Experience developing and managing capital budgets/projects of at least ten million dollars.

  • This position is located in Omaha NE, Chicago IL, select field locations or remote locations East of Denver, CO and within reasonable proximity (50 miles) to a major airport.

  • Travel is variable depending on project timing and averages 50%.

Compensation

Pay Range:$135,000-$200,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee's actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees' equity.Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
