While reporting directly to the Director Commercial FP&A, as the Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for the annual planning, forecasting, financial reporting, and various types of financial analysis. Additional responsibilities include long-range strategic planning, special project assignments, and financial process improvements.

What you'll be doing:

  • Act as a key contributor to the annual budgeting and forecasting processes working cross functionally with the sales team, manufacturing team, and corporate finance
  • Conduct financial analyses and special project work for the division, including preparation of various pro formas, discounted cash flows, ROI's as they related to major expansion/acquisitions/divestitures and business valuations
  • Support the division level activities related to the financial close process
  • Assist with / coordinate Internal Audit and SOX requirements in the division
  • Develop and implement approaches and templates to improve financial reporting, forecasting, planning, and analytics
  • Undertake statistical analysis and analytical/industry research
  • Assist in the review of capital projects checking the accuracy and reasonableness of financial projections and compliance with Corporate and Division capital policies
  • Assist with training of new manufacturing and sales personnel in Sonoco accounting and financial systems
  • Other duties as assigned

This position can be located in Hartsville, SC or Charlotte, NC.

We would like to hear from you if:

  • Four Year Undergraduate Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business or equivalent
  • Preferred Certifications: CPA, CMA
  • Individual has strong knowledge of Sonoco's business and/or experience in other manufacturing settings
  • Experience with Oracle, Hyperion Planning, Onestream, and EFI Radius
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to grasp a general knowledge of multiple disciplines and technologies

Compensation:

Analyst -Financial: The annual base salary range for this role is from $67,760 to $76,230.

Analyst II - Financial: The annual base salary range for this role is from $88,000 to $99,000.

Analyst III - Financial: The annual base salary range for this role is from $107,760 to $121,230, plus annual target bonus of 7.5% of base salary.

Senior Financial Analyst: The annual base salary range for this role is from $122,320 to $137,610, plus annual target bonus of 7.5% of base salary.

This is a progression position and level will be based on candidate experience and business needs.
