What is remote financial journalism?

Remote financial journalism involves researching, writing, and reporting on financial news and trends from a location outside of a traditional newsroom, often from home or anywhere with internet access. These journalists cover topics such as markets, economics, investing, and corporate news, using digital tools to gather information and communicate with sources. Remote financial journalists frequently rely on digital collaboration tools such as Slack, Zoom, and shared document platforms to stay connected with editors, analysts, and other reporters. Communication is often proactive and scheduled, with regular editorial meetings and instant messaging ensuring timely updates on breaking news and story progress. While autonomy is common, journalists are encouraged to seek feedback and clarification to maintain accuracy and relevance in their reporting. Building strong virtual relationships with team members is key to overcoming the challenges of physical distance and ensuring seamless workflow.

Job description

WHO WE ARE

The PR industry hasn't really changed in fifty years. Relationships, lunches, luck, and a clip report at the end of the month.

Interdependence is rebuilding it from the ground up. Interviewed, our proprietary platform, analyzes 300,000+ stories every day across a network of 250,000 journalists. • Thought Leadership: Position clients as industry thought leaders through strategic content development, speaking opportunities, and participation in relevant industry events and conferences.
  • Crisis Communications: Develop and implement crisis communication plans to safeguard clients' reputation and mitigate reputational risks in the event of crises or negative publicity.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for optimization and continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS
