Job description

About Navia Benefit Solutions:
We're a people first benefit administrator that relies on a fast-growing team of creative thinkers, problem-solvers, and go-getters to bring our participant and client experience to the next level. Our mission? To create better lives and provide a simple and amazing benefits experience. If you love providing excellent service, innovating the way benefits are administered, and being part of an inclusive workplace community, you'll fit right in.
About the Role:
Navia Benefit Solutions is consolidating multiple legacy portals (FSA, HSA, COBRA, commuter, retirement administration) into a single unified web portal and matching iOS + Android apps. We're looking for a senior UX designer to lead the design strategy and execute the full visual + interaction design across web and mobile.
The unified experience needs to handle role-based access control (RBAC) - participants, employers, brokers, internal CSRs - through a navigation model that flexes by role without feeling fragmented. The visual system must align with the new corporate website branding and bring a fresh, modern UI that genuinely blends the health and retirement product lines into one coherent product experience.
What You'll Do:
• Information architecture and navigation design across web + mobile (iOS + Android)
• RBAC permission model translated into navigation, content surfacing, and interaction patterns per user role
• Design system anchored on the new corporate website brand (we'll provide brand guidelines)
• Unified visual language that fuses our health and retirement product lines without losing either
• Wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs ready for engineering handoff
• Dev-handoff specs (Figma component library, design tokens, redlines)
What We're Looking For:
• 8+ years senior UX experience, with at least 3 leading platform consolidation or brand-consolidation work end-to-end
• Portfolio includes regulated-industry product design (healthcare, financial services, benefits, retirement, insurance, or similar)
• Strong on both UX strategy and visual execution - not visual-only
• Experienced with RBAC and multi-persona product design
• Comfortable working from existing brand guidelines while bringing original product-level visual decisions
• Strong design-system thinking - Figma component-library fluency expected
• Mobile + web parity experience (iOS, Android, and responsive web)
Engagement
• Contract, project-based with milestone deliverables
• Estimated 10-14 weeks
• Hourly or fixed-fee - flexible based on your preference
• Remote, with periodic working sessions over Teams
• Reports to EVP, Product & Engineering
How to Apply:
• Portfolio link with 2-3 case studies most analogous to this scope
• Short note on your approach to consolidating fragmented product experiences
• Availability and rate range
• 2 references from prior platform-consolidation or design-system engagements
Work Environment:
