Work Environment

This position allows the flexibility of remote work, with the majority of therapy sessions conducted in the clients' homes or designated outpatient locations. You will be a critical part of our Child Family Treatment Team, working collaboratively with professionals from various disciplines to provide holistic care. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual treatment sessions tailored to each child's needs, whether in the client's home or via outpatient solutions.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques to support children coping with anger management issues, behavioral challenges, and skill deficits.
  • Work directly with adolescents and their caregivers, focusing on enhancing decision-making abilities to improve behavioral management strategies at home.
  • Document all relevant case information promptly, including intake assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and any recommendations made during monthly team meetings.
  • Adhere to confidentiality and ethical standards, ensuring that all documentation complies with federal and state regulations regarding mental health services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with children aged 3-20, particularly those with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Our clients often face complex emotional and behavioral challenges, which may include self-injurious behaviors and aggression. Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.
  • A valid and unrestricted LMFT license is mandatory.
  • Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week, particularly during after-school hours (4-7 pm), with weekend flexibility preferred.
  • Proven ability to support positive behavior changes in youth facing high-risk situations.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to conduct home visits.
