  • Develop and implement effective behavioral strategies to address challenges such as anger management, social skills development, and reducing high-risk behaviors, including self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression.
  • Assist youth and caregivers in enhancing decision-making skills to better manage behavioral challenges within the home environment.
  • Collaborate regularly with the Child Family Treatment Team and engage with other multidisciplinary professionals, ensuring a comprehensive approach to therapy and support.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation records, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, all of which must be submitted within designated time frames.
  • Participate actively in monthly meetings, offering insights and recommendations that align with our clinical objectives.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary client focus will be on children aged 3 to 20, particularly those who are facing developmental and intellectual disabilities. You will have the unique opportunity to work with a diverse group of clients, providing tailored therapeutic approaches that meet their varied needs. Your role will significantly contribute to their overall development and well-being, fostering resilience and enhanced coping strategies.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.
  • Possession of an active and unrestricted LMFT license.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle are essential for home visits.
  • Must successfully pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, to ensure the safety and well-being of our youth clients.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience providing positive behavior support is highly beneficial.
  • Prior experience working with children with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) is a significant plus.
  • Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours of work per week within the after-school hours of 4-7 PM, along with some flexibility on weekends.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 60,000 to 80,000 annually, reflecting your experience and qualifications. In addition to a vibrant work environment, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • Group health coverage.
  • Annual paid time off.
  • Short and long-term disability insurance.
