Vice President, Assessment & Implementation

Location: Remote (U.S.)
Travel: Regular travel to client locations, supplier facilities, and company headquarters in Chicago, IL and Nashville, TN

Position Summary

The Vice President, Assessment & Implementation is a senior leadership role responsible for guiding the successful evaluation, onboarding, implementation, and optimization of new client engagements, strategic initiatives, and operational transformation projects.

This leader serves as the bridge between commercial strategy and operational execution, ensuring every client engagement begins with a comprehensive understanding of business objectives, operational requirements, success metrics, and organizational readiness. Working across client services, operations, technology, finance, and commercial teams, the Vice President develops implementation strategies that drive scalable growth, operational excellence, and long term client success.

The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with operational expertise, bringing a proven ability to lead complex enterprise implementations, navigate organizational change, and build repeatable frameworks that deliver consistent results across diverse client environments.

What You'll DoLead Client Assessment & Discovery
  • Direct discovery and assessment processes for new client engagements and strategic initiatives.
  • Evaluate client goals, operational workflows, technology ecosystems, and business requirements to identify opportunities, risks, and implementation considerations.

  • Capture and share lessons learned to strengthen organizational knowledge and future implementations.
Measure Success & Optimize Performance
  • Define and monitor implementation KPIs, operational metrics, and client success measures.
  • Partner with leadership teams to evaluate outcomes, identify improvement opportunities, and drive corrective actions.
  • Develop executive reporting and performance insights to support strategic decision making.

Tuesday: Review assessment findings and develop a strategic roadmap for introducing new operational capabilities, technology solutions, or production services.

Wednesday: Collaborate with client services, operations, and commercial teams to scope a large scale implementation and identify opportunities for process optimization.

Thursday: Analyze implementation performance metrics and business outcomes, partnering with finance and operations leaders to identify improvement opportunities.

Friday: Lead a best practices session with implementation and operational leaders to share lessons learned, strengthen methodologies, and improve future client onboarding experiences.

QualificationsRequired
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in implementation, operations, project management, consulting, client services, or related disciplines.
  • Proven experience leading large scale client onboarding, implementation, transformation, or operational excellence initiatives.
  • Experience working with enterprise clients and managing complex, cross functional stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong financial and operational acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, business case development, and KPI management.
  • Demonstrated success leading organizational change and process improvement initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
Preferred
  • Experience within marketing execution, creative services, print production, agency operations, business process outsourcing, or related industries.
  • MBA, PMP certification, Lean Six Sigma certification, or other relevant professional credentials.
  • Experience building and scaling implementation organizations, methodologies, or Centers of Excellence.
