Role Summary
The Virtual Financial Advisor deepens relationships with assigned and referred clients by conducting investment reviews, identifying additional opportunities, and delivering tailored financial solutions. This role supports client growth through proactive outreach, warm branch referrals, and consultative sales activity while providing a high-quality experience through phone, video, screen sharing, and occasional in-person meetings. This position offers a strong development path for someone motivated by clear goals, client education, and future growth in financial advising.
Key Accountabilities
  • Proactively engage assigned and referred clients to conduct investment reviews, assess financial objectives, and identify opportunities to deepen relationships.
  • Deliver investment guidance and solutions aligned with client goals, risk tolerance, and regulatory standards.
  • Own client relationships within the Guidance Center model by setting clear service expectations and providing consistent follow-through.
  • Achieve assigned sales and growth goals while participating in incentive compensation programs.
  • Manage warm referrals from branch partners and internal teams within defined service timeframes.
  • Collaborate with business partners to support cross-sell opportunities and holistic client solutions.
  • Maintain knowledge of Associated Bank and investment services products, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with Financial Advisors to develop sales, book-management, and relationship-building skills for future growth opportunities.

Education & Experience
Required
  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of brokerage, investments, or financial services experience.
  • Series 7 license.
  • Series 63 and 65 licenses, or Series 66 license.
  • Life and Health Insurance license.

Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of brokerage, investments, or financial services experience.
  • 3+ years of relationship management or consultative sales experience.
  • Prior experience in a similar advisor or financial services sales role.
  • Experience educating clients and explaining investments or financial solutions.
