Job Description:
Job Summary
Responsible for the management of physician and advanced practitioner incentive calculations and complex financial reporting. This position requires an individual capable of exercising professional judgment to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to medical practice leadership. A key requirement is the ability to manage provider compensation models and lead financial reporting projects with minimal supervision. The position requires strong emotional intelligence to effectively partner with providers and leadership to ensure the financial success of the Health System.
Essential Functions
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of financial trends, identify operational inefficiencies, and develop sophisticated models to support department-level decision-making.
  • Apply professional knowledge to interpret complex compensation policies and contractual language, resolving discrepancies independently before escalating to senior management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new provider groups into existing financial reporting structures, ensuring consistent data mapping and process alignment.
  • Act as a key resource for practice leadership by translating complex financial data into actionable strategies, helping them understand the financial implications of their operational choices.
  • Perform regular internal audits of compensation data to ensure strict adherence to regulatory guidelines and internal control procedures, proactively addressing and documenting potential compliance issues.
  • Evaluate current reporting processes and recommend improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency, leveraging moderate experience to solve operational challenges.
  • Assists in monthly financial closing and variance analysis process and in preparation of monthly financial and productivity reports.
  • Assists in preparation of annual operating budget.
  • Prepares provider incentive calculations and submits them for approval and payment.
  • Responds to questions regarding incentive calculations and provider finance from stakeholders.
  • Prepares provider compensation projections and fair market value analyses
  • Specials projects as necessary

Education Requirement
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field
Experience Requirement
2-5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a relevant area
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. All experience must be paid and in the same related field. Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week. Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
