Job description

Clarity Financial Planning Group is an independent financial services practice of Thrivent Financial located in Boise, Idaho serving clients in multiple states. Support Advisor

This remote position provides support to the existing client base of Clarity Financial Planning Group. This role provides technical support for the Lead Advisor and/or Service Advisor. Responsibilities include data gathering, modeling, case design, scenario building, plan development, and presentation development. May participate in client meetings, but not in an advice capacity. Has no decision-making authority on client matters. The Support Advisor reports to and is employed/contracted by the Financial Advisor. Thrivent Investment Management Inc. is the sponsor for FINRA registration and Thrivent Financial for Lutherans is the sponsor for insurance licensure.

Position Roles/Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • Enter client information into Salesforce

  • Prepare and update financial plans and presentation material for client meetings

  • Enter information into financial planning software and prepare draft financial plans

  • Deepen and maintain existing client relationships through processing of client requests, resolving client questions, and making sure client information and documentation are up to date

  • Research and respond to client inquiries

  • Finalize, submit, and track all client account and application paperwork

  • Gather and maintain customer suitability information

  • Assists Financial Advisors in the preparation and follow-up for client meetings

  • Updates and maintains client information in several planning tools, including Salesforce, MoneyGuide Pro, Morningstar, and others

  • Complete electronic and paper service forms and new business applications

  • Fill out and sign Variable Life/Variable Annuity/Mutual Fund/Brokerage applications

  • Accept and/or enter trade orders from clients, including unsolicited trade orders

  • Handle all post meeting tasks

  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the Lead Advisor

  • This is strictly for a support/operations role. This hire will NOT be on a personal development path for a client facing advisor.

Position Qualifications

  • Previous financial services experience desired

  • Securities (7/66, or 7/63 & 65) and Life, Health, and Annuities registration required

  • Demonstrated customer service orientation/experience, 3+ years preferred

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain a high quality of work while experiencing frequent interruptions.

  • Ability to maintain integrity of sensitive/confidential information.

  • Basic understanding of our products and services, and Thrivent Financial.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Pay Range: $65,000 - $85,000 | 40 hours per week (based on experience and performance)

  • Sick leave (Accrued when you start employment at the rate of one hour per every 30 hours worked, paid at the employee's regular wage rate)

  • Vacation Pay (Accrued based on hours worked, after completion of probationary period, paid at the employee's regular wage rate)

  • Paid Holidays (Effective after probationary period, based on your average workday. Recognized by our team include: New Year's Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Friday following Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day)

As part of Clarity Financial Planning Group recruiting/hiring/contracting process, a verification of a candidate's background will be made to complete the hiring/contracting process. In addition, fingerprints will be taken for submission to the Federal Bureau of Investigation for review against nationwide fingerprint records.
