Job description

Senior Wealth Manager

Presented by Rekroot on behalf of our client

About the Firm

Our client is a nationally recognized, fee‑only Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) with more than four decades of experience serving individuals, families, business owners, and institutional clients. The firm provides comprehensive, holistic financial planning and investment advisory services designed to help clients articulate meaningful goals and achieve them through strategies aligned with their values.

The organization manages approximately $8 billion in assets and is committed to delivering proactive, high‑touch guidance across all areas of clients’ financial lives.

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a Senior Wealth Manager who thrives on building relationships, closing new business, and operating with independence and flexibility. In this role, you will drive significant growth by representing the firm’s value proposition, delivering white‑glove service, and serving as a trusted advisor to high‑net‑worth clients — all with the support of a collaborative team behind you.

Senior Wealth Managers are long‑term strategic hires with a clear path to ownership.

This role is ideal for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset who excels at explaining complex financial concepts in a clear, relatable way. You will lead client relationships, oversee advanced planning engagements, and contribute meaningfully to both business development and client service.

What You Bring

Education & Credentials

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four‑year university (social sciences or business preferred)
  • CFP® designation required

Experience

  • 6+ years serving as a lead advisor or consultant for high‑net‑worth clients within a wealth management firm or the tax division of an accounting firm
  • Proven experience as the primary relationship owner for complex client households

Lead Advisor Capabilities

  • Serve as the primary advisor and decision‑maker for high‑net‑worth clients
  • Lead client review and discovery meetings, including advanced planning scenarios
  • Deliver strategies across tax, estate, investments, retirement, and risk management
  • Coordinate tax strategy with external CPAs
  • Experience with equity compensation planning, business owners, or other specializations is a plus
  • Guide clients through retirement income and distribution planning
  • Partner with estate attorneys on legacy planning

Technical & Analytical Skills

  • Strong understanding of investment fundamentals, securities, account types, and transaction mechanics
  • Ability to synthesize competing priorities (tax, investment, estate, behavioral) into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Commitment to a fee‑only, client‑first planning environment
  • Belief in academically grounded investment philosophy
  • Respect for confidentiality and fiduciary responsibility

Leadership & Growth Mindset

  • Invest in the development of Planners and Wealth Managers
  • Strong communication skills — written, verbal, and interpersonal
  • Positive, client‑focused attitude
  • Self‑motivated and able to operate independently

Business Development Experience

  • Lead the full discovery and onboarding process for new clients
  • Generate new business through referrals, firm‑generated leads, and personal networks
  • Consistently contribute to revenue growth and new client acquisition
  • Act as an ambassador for the firm by clearly articulating its value proposition

Why Work With Our Client

You’ll have the opportunity to learn from a team of experts, make a meaningful impact on clients’ lives, and contribute to a collaborative, values‑driven culture. The firm invests deeply in the people who take care of clients.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive compensation with annual bonuses
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • Daily catered lunch
  • Free access to an on‑site workout facility
  • Professional development support
