Your role in our mission
Apply your technical skills to support Gainwell as we help clients strengthen financial performance, accuracy, and compliance across their critical financial systems.
  • Analyze business and regulatory requirements to define system enhancements and technical solutions.
  • Design and develop financial system components and batch processes (hard?copy reports, data extracts, reconciliation tools, and automated workflows) for various user groups, including financial analysts, auditors, system administrators, and internal engineering teams.
  • Code, build, compile, and test system modifications using established team standards and secure development practices.
  • Serve as a technical advocate for financial users, helping refine system requirements to support accounting rules, financial controls, and reporting needs.
  • Collaborate with cross?functional teams, including finance SMEs, BA's, product owners, QA, and infrastructure.
  • Work on projects of moderate to complex scope, often involving financial transactions, balancing logic, controls, and structured data.
  • Exercise independent judgment within defined policies and development procedures.
  • Provide analysis and limited direction on assigned enhancements or financial modules.
  • Interpret and follow established audit, compliance, and operational guidelines.
  • Evaluate unique financial use cases and make recommendations to improve accuracy, performance, or compliance.

What we're looking for
9+ years of experience in application design, development, and programming using C, UNIX/Linux, XML, and SQL.
  • Prior experience working with healthcare IT systems and financial systems is required
  • Experience documenting and executing unit test cases
  • Experience supporting system design, development, maintenance, and production support for financial batch processes and data workflows.
  • Knowledge of GitHub repository and AWS preferred.

The pay range for this position is $100,000 - $115,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
