Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students’ mental health needs through assessments that identify emotional, social, and environmental challenges.
• Develop and implement personalized service plans that encompass measurable goals and interventions, ensuring alignment with each student's unique circumstances.
• Provide counseling and therapeutic support to students and their families, addressing issues related to anxiety, depression, bullying, and other life transitions.
• Assist students in navigating school resources and community support systems, facilitating access to critical services like academic tutoring, afterschool programs, and mental health resources.
• Facilitate crisis intervention and safety planning when necessary, ensuring that students' immediate needs are met effectively.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to create a supportive educational environment that promotes student success.
• Engage in community outreach to raise awareness of mental health issues, promoting agency services and fostering a culture of support.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings, contributing insights to holistic care approaches and sharing best practices with colleagues.

This role focuses primarily on students of various ages from diverse backgrounds, along with their families. You will encounter individuals facing unique social challenges, requiring a sensitive and informed approach to mental health care. Your expertise will play a crucial role in promoting resilience and well-being in young people, their families, and the wider community.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is essential.
• Strong understanding of trauma-informed care practices and a commitment to addressing social justice issues are preferred qualifications.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with diverse populations and stakeholders.
• Proven problem-solving skills and cultural competence are vital to provide impactful support.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working within educational or community mental health settings is highly advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
