Job description

Cinematography Prompting Specialist (AI Training) About the Role We're looking for film-savvy professionals to help train cutting-edge AI video models. As a Cinematography Prompting Specialist, you'll watch short video clips and translate what you see into precise, technically rich shot descriptions - the kind of language only someone with a real eye for cinema can produce. Your work will directly shape how AI understands and generates video, making this a rare opportunity to apply your filmmaking knowledge to one of the most exciting frontiers in technology.
  • Type : Hourly Contract
  • Location : Remote
  • Commitment : Flexible - work on your own schedule
What You'll Do
  • Watch short video clips and identify key shots, transitions, and visual moments
  • Describe framing, camera movement, blocking, lighting, and composition using precise film terminology
  • Create structured prompts that capture the look, feel, and intent of each shot
  • Reference relevant stylistic influences or visual conventions where appropriate
  • Follow internal templates to ensure consistent shot-level and sequence-level descriptions
  • Distinguish between effective and ineffective prompts with clear written reasoning
  • Maintain consistent terminology, depth, and quality across all tasks
What You Bring Must-Have:
  • Background in cinematography, camera operation, film editing, or film studies
  • Strong command of film language - framing, focal length, movement, composition, lighting
  • Sharp visual eye and attention to detail
  • Clear, consistent written communication across repetitive tasks
Nice to Have:
  • Experience writing prompts for AI image or video generation tools
  • Professional credits as a DP, camera operator, director, or editor
  • Familiarity with AI training workflows or data annotation
Why Join Us
  • Put your cinematography expertise to work in a genuinely novel way
  • Fully remote and flexible - complete tasks on your own schedule
  • Contribute to AI projects at the cutting edge of video generation research
  • Freelance autonomy with the potential for ongoing, extended work
  • Collaborate with a global community of creative and technical specialists
