POSITION: Key Account  Manager- Industrial Nets & Non-Wovens

LOCATION: Remote

The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for driving sales growth, managing strategic customer relationships, and expanding Mativ’s presence within the U.S. Industrial Nets & Non-Wovens.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
  • Follows all company established methods, policies, rules and practices, and procedures to ensure employee safety, product quality and efficient operations.
  • Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates; forecasts sales activities and assists in setting performance goals accordingly.
  • Maintains strong relationships with key clients and executes territory-specific strategies to expand share of wallet across assigned U.S. regions.
  • Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policy and assist dealers in promoting sales; advises dealers, distributors, and clients concerning sales and advertising techniques.
  • Acquires new clients through targeted prospecting, technical presentations, and strategic territory planning.
  • Directs product simplification and standardization to eliminate unprofitable items from sales line.
  • Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
  • Delivers sales presentations to key clients and new clients; negotiates and closes deals.
  • Review, analyze, and negotiate NDAs and supply contracts in partnership with key internal stakeholders
  • Assists in product research and development by preparing a comprehensive business case for new product development efforts
  • Coordinates liaison between sales and Product Management, R&D, Operations, and Customer Service to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Analyzes and controls expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements.
  • Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product.
  • Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 30–40% for customer visits, site audits, and industry events.
  • Manages key accounts across assigned U.S. regions and strategic verticals.

 

 

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A. / B.S.) from four-year college or university; with 3-5 years sales or technical sales experience in given market segment and/or nonwovens/film products; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Ability to calculate discounts, interest, and FX rates and apply analytical skills to pricing, margin evaluation, and commercial decision-making.
  • An understanding of industry trends

  • Technical product knowledge and a solid understanding of the industry
  • Proficient in CRM 
  • Excellent forecasting skills
