Location: Remote (CT resident/student)

Hours: 10 to 12 per week

Duration: Fall Semester: September 2 – December 23, 2026

  • Interns who perform well may continue into subsequent semesters without reapplying, subject to mutual agreement and availability.

Compensation: Unpaid internship for academic credit or work experience

We are hiring for 4 positions: Near-Peer Mentor, Content Creator, Interview Producer, and Career Research & Insights. PLEASE READ EACH DESCRIPTION BELOW AND SPECIFY WHICH ROLE YOU ARE APPLYING FOR!

1.) Near-Peer Community Mentor Intern

Support high school students through structured engagement inside the Upptik Gives online community. This internship operates through a weekly Student Development Series tied directly to Resumix multimedia resume development. Mentors guide students section by section, helping them translate their experiences into clear, confident, professional profiles. This role combines digital instruction, youth development, structured content creation, and mentorship leadership.

2.) Content Creator Intern

Produce short-form videos, posts, blog-style content, and other creative media that guide and inspire high school students. Interns publish weekly content inside the Upptik platform and help strengthen Upptik Gives' online presence by sharing their work across social media. This role is ideal for students who enjoy authentic storytelling, digital media, on-camera communication, and relatable youth-centered messaging.

3.) Interview Producer Intern

Support students’ career discovery by creating engaging, interview-based content. Interns conduct interviews with professionals, research real-world job paths, translate insights into accessible content, and contribute multimedia posts across the Upptik Gives platform and social media channels. This role is ideal for students studying journalism, education, media, communications, or storytelling.

4.) Career Research & Insights Intern

Take ownership of one assigned career cluster and strengthen how it is presented on the Upptik platform. While foundational career data already exists, this role focuses on bringing the cluster to life through engaging video content, clear pathway documentation, thoughtful FAQs, and ongoing community engagement. Your goal is not to list every job, but to make the range of roles and entry pathways understandable and actionable for high school students. This role is ideal for students interested in education, workforce development, public policy, communications, psychology, business, research, or youth career advising.
